Greetings! Hope you had a Merry Christmas if you celebrated yesterday, I come bearing gifts that were disseminated two days ago.

Ever since I first caught onto Reason, he’s always said that he’s “for the kids”. The man was true to that on Christmas Eve dropping a present for us all in the form of a the Audio 3D Prequel. It’s more an EP than a Mixtape containing 5 tracks; two you may have heard before if you’re a hip hop fan and follower of what we do here on the African Hip Hop Blog. Present on the EP is the banger that is 15 Grand, if you’re not afraid of using the search function you’ll also find remixes of that track here somewheres.

Along with that is the collaborative effort Another Summer Without Sun which has Reason, Tumi of The Volume, Lebo Mochudi and producer Ootz combining to great effect as heard first on The POWA Mixtape.

The music that may be new to you would be the cover of Popeyes (Popular Demand), originally a Clipse track featuring Cam’ron; Tumi & Reason give it a fresh breath of life. Also included is a track called “Braggadocio“, as well as Stay, catch those last two below.
