One reflection of the recent dominance of Maybach Music Group, is the amount of covers of MMG tracks out there. From ‘Stay Schemin’ to ‘I’m A Boss’, it seems every rapper and his weed carrier has had a go at one MMG track at some point.

Next to step up is Bils Rayoe, who says his name R.A.Y.O.E (Rap At Your Own Expense) defines his position in the best possible way – completely independent and doing everything at his own expense be it time, money or effort. Not a bad philosophy to have, realising that it takes hard work and sacrifice to make a career out of music. That said, he still looks like he is enjoying himself and did himself no harm picking arguably the biggest track of last year as his backdrop.

Plus, opening your verse with a Fela Kuti shoutout never hurts.
